8, 2010 Finance Committee Meeting Materials - Draft Proposed Budget
Strategies...In an effort to recommend
strategies to close the budget gap, the Finance Committee will begin
its review of the draft budget materials at its February 8th meeting. Paper copies of the proposed strategies will be available at the February 8th Finance Committee meeting, 7:30 p.m. in the Conestoga High School Auditorium. Please note the change of location from the TE Administration Building

Board Commits to Limiting Tax Increase to 2.9% or Below...At
its regular meeting on January 25, 2010, the School Board voted
9-0 in favor of a resolution that caps the potential tax increase
at 2.9 percent for the budget year 2010-2011. A list of proposed
budget balancing strategies will be presented at the February 8,

Kindergarten
and New Student Registration Dates...Registration
for kindergarten and first grade students new to T/E will be held
during the week of January 25, 2010. Children who plan to enter
the T/E School District in grades two through four in September
are also encouraged to register at this time.
2010-2011
School Calendar...On
October 13th, the Education Committee recommended a calendar for
the 2010-2011 school year with school beginning for students on
September 1, 2010. Click for more information
